Central Alabama Radiation Oncology is recruiting a Physics Assistant. Under the direction of a medical physicist, this position is responsible for performing quality control checks and radiation measurements on patients and various machines to include linear accelerators and CT simulators. They generate and import data reports to the patients’ electronic medical records ensuring the measured data meets quality criteria and standards. They are also responsible for facilitating equipment calibrations along with other projects. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in the sciences. Hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some paid overtime and occasional weekend work are required.
