Why Choose CARO?

At Central Alabama Radiation Oncology, our goal is to provide the highest quality coordinated, compassionate care to patients and their family members.

You don’t have to travel out of state to receive the highest quality care and emerging treatments. Our facility houses the most advanced technology of its kind in Alabama, including the Varian TrueBeamTM Linear Accelerator—an integrated advanced imaging and motion management system able to target tumors with sub-millimeter accuracy. Offering the benefit of short treatment times, it can be used to treat many forms of cancer, including complex cases. Our Varian 21IX Linear Accelerator / Varian Clinac® delivers exact doses in the lowest number of monitor units without sacrificing efficacy, providing the most precise, pinpoint accuracy in radiotherapy.

Office Locations

If you’re located in Alabama, you don’t have to look far for comfortable, quality care. With locations in both Prattville and Montgomery, you can access cancer care close to home. CARO opened the Prattville Cancer Center in 2019 and it is equipped with the same state-of-the-art technology as our main campus in Montgomery. Our cancer treatment technology allows for shorter treatment times, innovation, accuracy, patient comfort, and precision. We want to serve Alabamians the radiation oncology services they seek without the need to travel far from home.
